Tyndrum Gold Rush

If you’re interested in making a holiday pay then you might want to consider a trip to the Highland town of Tyndrum.

It’s track record as a gold rush town began in the 19th century, but there now seems to be evidence emerging that the good times could be about to roll again. According to Scotgold Resources there could still be £70 million in gold and silver deposits still residing within the local hills and valleys.

Could there be a modern day Klondike in little old Scotland. I think not but it’s certainly an interesting prospect for anybody taking a holiday in this beautiful part of Scotland.

Anybody, with gold pans at the ready might want to check out the Glengarry House Bed and Breakfast for a place to stay.
