The Other Side Hotel - Norway

According to those in the know, high end holidays are moving into “Extreme Luxury”. Sounds like an oxymoron,  but maybe not. The Other Side situated in Neiden is due to open in December as a “high concept” travel experience, intended to encapsulate luxury and extreme in the one package.

Purched on top of a plateau, The Other Side enjoys stunning aspect over some of Norway’s most beautiful northern stretches. The territory is surrounded by the Neidenelven clear waters which splits the Tundra leading to the Barents Sea.

The design of the building is a truly innovative concept created by Swedish/French duo Birgitta Ralston and Alexandre Bau with architecture based on the traditions of the local Sami people, giving the place a sense of “otherworldy magic”.

The accommodation will be ultramodern luxury that takes full advantage of the natural ambience of this stunning location.

Night time activities don’t include the local nightclub! But you can indulge in a little sky watching with the northern lights during winter, midnight sunbathing in summer and twilight dog sledding.

The Other Side really does sound like an exciting concept and I for one am looking forward to seeing it unveiled in December.
