If you’re ever visiting the UK it’s well worth paying a visit to the beautiful medieval village of Lavenham in Suffolk. Interesting nooks and antique shops abound whilst you may want stay in the highly regarded Great House hotel.

Room rates can be as little as £70 ($140) per night (very reasonable for a top UK hotel) which gets you a night in a beautifully aged room. The Great House includes a well regarded French restaurant run by Monsieur et Madame Crepy with a 3 course dinner costing in the region of £26 ($52).

The hotel was built in the 14th century, overlooks Lavenham’s Market Square and incorporates a choice of five rooms (one includes a four poster bed). With only five rooms it’s not the biggest hotel in the world but who says size is everything!!!?
