The Balmoral web site says:

“A luxury hotel in the true sense of the word, The Rocco Forte Collection’s Balmoral, with its majestic clock tower, is a stylish five-star property in the very heart of Edinburgh. While many Edinburgh hotels claim to have Edinburgh’s landmarks on their doorstep, few can say their doorstep is a landmark.”

The accommodation includes:

• 168 rooms and 20 suites.

• The decor is earthy and warm.

• Tartan blankets especially designed by Johnston’s of Elgin.

• The restaurant Number One is Michelin starred whilst there is also Hadrian’s restaurant for more informal dining.

• Palm Court offers Champagne and afternoon tea.

• The spa includes a swimming pool, gym and treatment rooms.

The real selling point of this hotel is it’s location in the heart of Edinburgh. Views can be enjoyed over the castle and Sir Walter Scott Monument.
