Kempinski Open Great Wall of China Spa

By all accounts the Great Wall of China is well worth a visit. But how about combining a visit to one of the greatest feats of human engineering with some quality rest and relaxation. Well, now it’s possible with the recent opening of the very selubrious Anantara Spa.

Set amid the peaceful and green mountains near the Shuiguan section of the Great Wall, the 8 square kilometer development is a private collection of contemporary architecture which is fast gaining a reputation for exclusivity and high quality spa treatments. With Renee Zellweger paying a recent visit, it’s likely that this place is going to become very popular very quickly.

Rooms can be had for as little as £100 ($185) per night and treatments from £50 ($90).
