Taking cheap holidays to a variety of Turkish destinations should give you a feel for the country and the intricacies of the local investment property market.

You should also be able to get a feel for why Turkey has become ever more popular, particularly amongst the European market.

Key attractions include:

• Turkey’s strategic location straddling two continents, Europe and Asia.

• Unrivalled history stretching back thousands of years. From the ancient Hittites to the Ottomans, dozens of civilisations have made Turkey their home, leaving behind them a complex historical and archaeological heritage.

• Among the top destinations is Istanbul with its fabulous setting, wealth of historic sights and vibrant cultural life.

• Well preserved remains of Greco-Roman cities such as Ephesus or Pergamon.

• For the adventurous, the austere beauty of the Anatolian plateau, the surreal eroded landscape of Cappadocia and the atmospheric ruins of the enigmatic Hittites are a real delight.

• Warm climate virtually all year round.

• Coastal resorts with sandy beaches and hedonistic nightlife.

All these factors add up to a very strong, tourist destination. Nonetheless, if you’re considering dipping your toes into the property investment market, be sure to take some Turkey Holidays first. Even if you don’t make that purchase, you can have a heck of alot of fun trying!
