Bora Bora epitomises everything a tropical island should be. Which makes it perfect for the location of the Nui resort and Spa situated within a sacred cove of white sand and lava lock.

This spa offers authenticity and luxury in equal measure - combining Polynesian tradition and sumptuous comfort. The resort is set within 16 acres, which include 120 villas, 84 built on stilts over water.

There are two restaurants. Iriatai for Polynesian, Mediterranean and Pacific Rim cuisine. The Tamure Grill offers meals with dance shows.

Other facilities include a 1000 square metre infinity pool, art gallery, two bars, a beauty salon and fitness centre.

Doubles start at £280 ($560) per night.
