The best hotel in St Lucia is without doubt the amazing Anse Chastanet. This is a luxurious 49 room resort that enjoys an almost bohemian atmosphere.

The rooms are pretty unusual and are completely individual. Some are bijou cottages with verandahs, some have a modern feel which fits to the landscape.

The food is excellent with an extensive kitchen garden supplying two restaurants: Piti Piton and Treehouse Restarurant which serve a fusion of world cuisine. If you fancy something a little spicy then the Trou au Diable beach restaurant offers Indian flavoured Aspara in the evenings.

There is of course a fully equipped spa which now includes a beachside yoga hut.

The location is secluded and enjoys beautiful aspect views over the island’s landmark Pitons.

Double bedrooms sell for £190 ($380) per night.
