Matron is the ideal product to take on your travels if you want to stay well clear of some pretty nasty germs hanging around toilets and kitchens.  It comes in a very handy 50ml plastic travel bottle (under the 100ml flight threshold).

Originally designed for the British Transport Police, it’s a dual action spray so it works on door handles and toilet seats as well as directly on your hands. One application lasts pretty much all day (up to 6 hours) so you can go about your travels knowing you are totally germ free.

I’d really recommend any intrepid traveller packs a bottle in their backpack, and at £1.99 it’s gotta be worth it!

Available from these retailers:

SUPERDRUG
Large Sainsbury’s
TESCO PHARMACY
MOSS Chemists in Waitrose
Unichem Pharmacy
Netto
Morrisons

The sun is out and it feels like the mosquitoes are biting harder than ever (scratch!).

We discovered a fantastic little product that’s easy enough to fit in your rucksack or suitcase and that will keep the pesky little nasties away for up to 14 hours. It’s from DEETFree and 100% natural we are pleased to say.

We actually tried the product out and have to say that for the entire evening (spent outside) we only had one bite between us! We were really pleased with the result and can truly recommend this product.

Make sure you pack them in your suitcase this year.

For those of us who fret about heavy luggage, help is at hand with the release of Size Zero luggage from Antler.

Their signature case is billed as “probably the world’s lightest structured Roller Case”. With a feather light weight of just 3.6 kg, the new size zero roller case gives you the opportunity to pack that little bit extra.

The large, medium and cabin cases have been technically developed to reduce weight and remain strong enough to make it through the roughest journeys.

A nice touch (which shows Antler believe in their product) is that each case comes with a seven year guarantee. This underpins the rigorous testing program the size zero range has undergone before release into the market place.
It’s lighter and stronger – and if that wasn’t enough, the Size Zero range looks great too.  The elegant suitcases combine angular black and grey compartments with soft touch top, side handles, corner protectors and a fully lined interior.

The Size Zero range comprises three pull-along cases which give you flexibility for short or long haul traveling. Alternatively, if you would like something stylish and sturdy for your laptop, you could try the Messenger Bag.

Keen have a variety of quality shoes in their range - but we particularly liked these Roatan’s which are a great women’s specific water shoe with a minimal upper design.

image

Great for providing exceptional underfoot traction in all water environments. The Roatan is just as comfortable on the beach, river or boardwalk. I think they would also make pretty good deck shoes to boot.

At the very least, they have to be a far more stylish alternative to the ubiquitous crocs….

Features include:
